Autonomous ocean remediation
Autonomous Ocean Remediation
The Great Pacific Garbage Patch (GPGP) is an 1.6 million square kilometer crisis that cannot be solved with traditional, man-powered vessels. Operation Phoenix utilizes a fleet of "Healer-Class" autonomous ships designed to operate in the most remote reaches of the North Pacific, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The Mission: Zero-Impact Harvesting
Our primary objective is the systematic removal of synthetic waste from the surface and sub-surface of the GPGP. By removing the human element from the frontline, we can maintain a constant presence in the patch, intercepting plastics before they break down into irreversible microplastics.
The Technology: Precision over Force
Unlike traditional "drag-net" methods that risk the lives of marine mammals and fish, our Ghost Ship 1 fleet utilizes:
-
Active LiDAR Scanning: 360-degree environmental awareness to navigate around migratory paths.
-
The Angel Grid: A sensor-driven intake system that distinguishes between organic life and synthetic waste in real-time.
-
Continuous Flow Dynamics: The ships are designed to harvest up to 95% of surface plastics in their path with a nearly 0% by-catch rate.
Our Immediate Target
We aren't just skimming the surface; we are mapping the patch. Every Ghost Ship acts as a data node, relaying the density and movement of plastic back to our command center to optimize the fleet’s path for maximum impact.
Our innovative approach
We believe environmental cleanup should be economically self-sustaining. Our comprehensive strategy focuses on three key pillars to ensure a healthier future for our planet.
Efficient plastic removal
Our Ghost Ship fleet and Angel Grid sorting technology ensure maximum collection efficiency without harming marine life.
Sustainable resource conversion
We convert harvested ocean plastics into high-grade, low-sulfur crude oil directly at sea, creating a circular energy economy.
Active ecological regeneration
Our Vitamin Wake Regenerator triggers targeted phytoplankton blooms, leaving the ocean healthier than we found it.
